Our Principal on Mayor Kenney's Transition Team
This past November, Philadelphia's Mayor-Elect Jim Kenney announced his Transition Team chosen to ensure community involvement, diversity, and excellence in the administration's platform for its first 100 days. Our principal, Marcus Iannozzi, was selected to serve on the Commerce and Economic Development Subcommittee, where he helped contribute to the 139 recommendations set by the entire team.
Marcus was recently featured in a Generocity article, in which he discusses how these recommendations reflect Mayor Kenney’s commitment to economic and commmunity development and ensuring that all Philadelphians benefit from recent growth.
“[The priorities are] actually focused more on community in economic development and making sure the rest of Philadelphia is not left behind in the growth we’re experiencing,” Marcus said. “We’ve had a lot of gains, but a lot of people have been left behind.”
